| This style of sitar is made from well-seasoned Cedar/Teak wood for best tone and sound.The sitar is fully decorated with woodcarving and inlay of engraved celluloid and is fitted with fully decorative Second gourd and lotus shaped pegs.
The string combination is 7 main strings and 13 tarabs (sympathetic strings).Of the main strings first four are fretted while the other three are open chords.The sympathetic strings are tuned according to the different scales.The best tuning for the sitar is C # or D. |
