The Hindustani Classial form of music, its vast riches and concept, have been nurtured in time through the devotion, research and continous study of a distinctive class of musicians who enrich it with their singular pursuits in various intra-disciplines.

Jagdeep Singh Bedi is a sitarist and musician who has accredited himself in this pursuit.His intiation to the sitar & surbahar came through the rich experience of his father Shri Tara Singh Bedi, wh is both a sitarist and vocalist, and senior disciple of the late Pt. Krishnarao Shankar Pandit of the Gwalior Gharana.

Jagdeep's skills were honed and developed by the reputed sitar guru, Shri Anil Dhar, who imparted the intricacies of the sitar and the surbahar in the style of the senia gharana, and later by Shri Kalyan Mukherjee, senior disciple of Radhika Mohan Moitra. he has also had extensive training under Shri Debashish Mukherjee, a sitarist of great proficiency.

Jagdeep has the rare skill of excelling in both instruments: sitar and the surbahar. He has also distinguished himself academically, taking an M.A. and M.Phil in Music as Gold Medalist from the University of Delhi. He has also been the receipent of the National Scholarship, awarded by the Government of India( Ministry of Education).

Jagdeep continues his musical pursuits with single- minded devotion and a humility that is increasingly rare.Hundreds of students learn the intricacies of the sitar and surbahar from this magnanimous teacher.
